  When I was in High school, I suffered from irritating headaches and gnawing back pain. My classmates were swift. They swam, danced and played ball with a physical freedom I envied. I was lethargic; I dreaded the beginning of PE class. I simply felt that I was born with a body that was going to give me pain, and I took pain killers to control it.

  I remember being at my grandparents Wisconsin lake house with an excruciating headache. I prayed to God for help and the answer came. My grandmother entered the room and told me to see a chiropractor. After an exam and x-rays, the doctor told me about my scoliosis and fused vertebra in my neck. I finally got long term relief without medication. Still, the sad fact remained that I didn't need to suffer had I gotten chiropractic treatment as a child and into adolescence.

  After moving to Maryland, I was pleased to have chosen Spector Chiropractic. Since being treated here, my life style and energy level have taken a dramatic positive turn due to the treatment of Dr. Spector. I believe that the quality of physical life, energy, staying youthful and withstanding illness is dependent on the good functioning of the spine.

  My three year old daughter, Molly, is also receiving treatment. Dr. Spector indicated that she has minor scoliosis. I know her future in high school years will be much different than my own. My advise to all present and future patents of Dr. Spector is to give your children the gift of chiropractic care.

  About a month ago, I experienced sudden, excruciating lower back pain.  It was, in fact, the worst pain I've ever had in my life.  Sitting, standing and lying down were extremely uncomfortable and standing upright proved to be difficult.  I self-medicated myself with Tylenol and heating pads, but nothing worked.

  Fortunately, a family friend saw how much pain I was in and referred me to Spector Chiropractic.  I had never been to a chiropractor and, to be honest, was a little skeptical.  I also was desperate to relieve and treat the pain I was in, so I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Spector right away.

  Everyone - the office staff, Jen, Dr. Spector and Dr. April - was welcoming and friendly the moment I walked through the door.  They particularly took extra care as I was evaluated and had X-rays taken.  Bending and standing upright was extremely painful, and the staff was very patient as I slowly moved around.

  Hours and a second visit later, I was diagnosed with herniated discs in my L-4 to L-5 vertebrae.  Dr. Spector sat down with me and explained everything from my X-rays to my condition to my treatment plan.  I could just tell from the way he talked to me that he was genuinely concerned and empathetic, and willing to do anything to make me feel better.

  Within a week of my initial visit, my back was feeling 98% with no pain and very little discomfort.  A week after that, I was feeling 100% and back to doing my normal activities.  My experience with Dr. Spector and his staff certainly turned me from a skeptic to a supporter of chiropractic.

  Words cannot express the appreciation I have for the staff at Spector Chiopractic.  Not only have they "cured" me of my back pain, but they have treated me as if I were a member of their family.  The staff has shown genuine concern for my health and well being, and has encouraged me during every step of my treatment plan.  For that, I am truly grateful.

  When I first came to Dr. Spector, I was so frustrated, not to mention the pain.  I had tried everything for my neck and back including physical therapy, massage and acupuncture.  With each of these, I got some relief at first.  But as these therapies continued, the benefit decreased.  I couldn't turn my neck anymore to even back up the car.  I was in pain sitting, standing and lying down.  My whole life was affected...then I came to Spector Chiropractic.

  The process was gradual, but with each visit I gained more range of motion and the pain decreased... with no medicine!  It has been six months, and I have come a long way.  I am doing the things I love: playing tennis, running and just plain living, without pain!  I admit that at first I was skeptical, but now I am happy to say that I am a firm believer in chiropractic care.  I can't imagine how I'd be without Dr. Spector.

  I started seeing Dr. Spector, Dr. April, and Dr. Smith on March 14, 2009. I was a reluctant patient but my daughter, who was also a patient insisted that I come. She was concerned with my walking and "slouched over" appearance. I had been in pain for many years. Of course I contributed it to just getting older. I have been coming two months now and what a difference. I am now so much straighter. I have been fitted with comfortable orthodics and my hip and lower back pain is almost in non-existent. My neck pain is 80% better and am now back to walking daily and gardening. I am a daycare provider to my 3 gradchildren and now have little difficulty getting off the floor! I encourage everyone to stick with their treatment plan if possible.

  I can not say enough about these 3 doctors and their offic staff. They have sqeezed me in if I have needed an extra visit and have always listened to whatever ailments I might have. Their freindliness is so refreshing. I plan to continue chiropractic vistits periodically as needed after my treatment ends and I am proof that life can be good after 60 with chiropractic help from these great docters and staff.

  When I began treatment with Spector Chiropractic I was having pain in my neck and right shoulder blade. I found myself bending over with rounded shoulders, forming a hunched back posture.
